2025 events at Mounds Park Community Garden: Looking forward to a fun and busy year
Our 2025 calendar is packed with exciting events! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening this year:
Registration opens for garden members
Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 8 am
Winter meeting and kickoff for the 2025 season
Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 pm
Join us as we welcome members new and old. We’ll review our volunteer committees, set the year’s agenda and answer questions for the next growing season. Check out the full event here.
Fifty Boxes of Earth at Park Square Theater
Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm
This play contains themes of migration, belonging, loss and growth, family and community, and the tensions between fear and joy. This production can be very impactful for those in our community who are working to make a thriving and nurturing home for themselves and others. Theater Mu has a special day planned for us! Spring clean-up and construction
Saturday, April 26 from 2 to 5 pm
Roll up your sleeves. We’ll have chores to prepare the garden for the next season. This is a great opportunity to knock-out some volunteer hours early. And if you’re like me and hate working in the height of summer, the spring clean-up and construction has the added benefit of working in cool weather.
Grand opening and May meeting
Saturday, May 10 from noon to 2 pm
The official opening for the garden’s growing season. Come celebrate the start of the growing season, meet your fellow gardeners, and hear updates or get your questions answered.
Deadline for cleaning and planting your plot
Sunday, June 1
In accordance with the Saint Paul Parks Dept. all plots must be cleaned and planted by June 1
Appetizers for Mounds Park Progressive Dinner
Saturday, May 17, 6:30 pm
We’re proud to be the appetizer hosts to kick off this super fun Mounds Park tradition. Friends, do yourself a favor and do not miss this event!
Finer Things Club
Sunday, July 13, from 10 to noon
Dress to impress and bring a dish to share for a refined morning of tea, treats, and delightful discussion topics.

Tour des Jardins
Saturday, Aug. 16, from 8am to 5pm
Last year’s Tour was an incredible event. (We’re working on a recap, so keep an eye out for that soon.) We’re predicting this year’s event will be even more fun! Join this casual, social bike ride connecting Saint Paul’s community gardens. Visit other local gardens, enjoy refreshments and snacks, get informative tours and talk shop with friends from our local gardening network.
Fall pollinator patch planting
Sunday, Sept. 7, from 2 to 6pm
Bring your plant donations and join us as we enhance our garden’s role as a haven for pollinators.
Autumn Harvest Festival
Saturday, Oct. 25, from 3 to 9pm
Celebrate the beauty of fall with food, music, and festivities for all ages. Let’s embrace the joy of Saint Paul’s most magical season together!
Autumn clean-up & winterizing event
Saturday, November 1 at 2:00 PM
This will be the deadline for all plots to be cleaned and shut down for winter
