About the Mounds Park Community Garden
Our garden is a community-driven initiative to create a flourishing green space that grows more than just food.
We aim to cultivate community connections, equity, education, and wholesome neighborly fun right here in the heart of Saint Paul, MN.
Mission
To create a vibrant greenspace in the heart of Saint Paul. We aim to build a stronger, more connected community, foster sustainable practices, enhance food security, provide educational opportunities, and promote social and environmental well-being.
Vision
Our vision is to see Mounds Park transformed into a thriving green oasis that not only produces fresh, organic fruits and vegetables but also serves as a catalyst for educational growth, community engagement, and cultural exchange.
We envision a space where diverse voices come together to enact positive change, building a neighborhood that flourishes in unity and shared experiences.

If you love something, give it away
The spirit of the Mounds Park Community Garden is to bring people together. People can be messy and complicated. And that is okay. We welcome you and all your baggage. And just as we welcome you, we welcome each other.
Members of the Mounds Park Community Garden own nothing. We are guests on this land. Our job is to tend to this small corner of the world and leave it in better shape than we found it. If we can grow some delicious food and learn a thing or two in the process then, bonus.
To truly love something is to be prepared to give it away, to share it with others and allow it to change and grow beyond our singular capabilities. This is the spirit of our garden. We are here to support our community, to lift one another up, and to contribute to a world that’s better than the one we see on the news. A world we’d want to pass on to our kids, pets, and neighbors.
